Sales Associate

Established in 2005 in San Francisco, we are a men’s brand of high-end goods. We specialize in wallets and bags and have recently expanded into apparel. We consider ourselves a premier men’s brand and are looking for sales associates who are willing to help establish this new brand. We are looking for part-time and full-time sales associates.

Locations:

  • Flagship Store, San Francisco
  • Stanford Shopping Center, Palo Alto
  • Santana Row, San Jose


Required:

  • Prior experience in a retail role, preferably men's brands
  • Ability and desire to sell in a retail environment
  • Capacity to multi-task and willingness to take initiative
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • A creative outlook and potential to create merchandising projects
  • Positive relationship with your management and fellow staff
  • Availability on weekends and extended seasonal hours a must

Production and Sourcing Manager


Job Responsibilities and Functions:

  • Create sourcing deadlines and calendar based on final product landing date and incorporates design, sourcing, production and quality control lead-times.
  • Manage and coordinate all phases of product development and production including agreed upon deadlines and calendar milestones, often times within tight/short lead-times.
  • Establish and continue to build (source) a qualified network of manufacturing partners in the USA.
  • Develop and execute testing parameters and manage quality control in pre and post production.
  • Establish, monitor and maintain a method of evaluating the factories’ capabilities, capacity, management staff and manufacturing performance (e.g. inventory controls).
  • Manage project pipeline, including prioritization and resource allocation for all product development & sourcing projects.
  • Source and purchase raw materials and products, including custom designed hardware, fabric and final product.
  • Identify issues that could potentially jeopardize final delivery dates and work with team on solutions and alternative options.




Responsible for:

  • Successfully completing all product development & sourcing projects within management set deadline (including driving deadlines of all components necessary- design, pattern-making samples, etc.)
  • Negotiating pricing with vendors for raw materials and labor costs to maintain or exceed target margins and budget.
  • Managing product improvements and quality control based on customer and store feedback.
  • Analyzing costs of goods and materials
  • Creating and maintaining BOM’s (Bill of Materials)
  • Maintaining and managing inventory levels of raw materials for final product buys.  This included external factories that hold raw materials.




Required:

  • 5 to 7 years Apparel/Accessories sourcing experience- extensive production experience and strong knowledge and understanding of various manufacturing processes
  • Experience with sourcing new vendors, working with cut and sew, patternmakers and design team
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Excellent project management skills; proven process design & implementation skills
  • Results oriented; strong analytical & problem-solving skills
  • Superior attention to detail, accuracy and follow through
  • Self-motivated and able to effectively prioritize multiple projects and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills- able to communicate across different disciplines (can discuss design concepts with designers, as well as technical aspects with vendors)
  • Thorough, consistent team player with a professional attitude
  • Proficient computer skills to include Microsoft Office applications- specifically able to create and maintain spreadsheets
  • Must be flexible and comfortable working in a start-up environment and able to create best practices and protocols

Responsibilities and Functions:

 

  • Manage assortment planning process:
  • Category/Department/Class mix
  • SKU counts and SKU productivity
  • Cost to assort for existing and new locations
  • Create product/merchandising strategies to reach sales goals:
  • Review for retail pricing structure to maintain competitive
  • Maintain target product margins
  • Identify new opportunities to capture sales
  • Manage excel assortment grids with prices, margins, in-store drop dates
  • Create SKUs and maintain SKU database in Quickbooks POS
  • Forecast sales by location and determine seasonal buys and purchasing by SKU
  • Manage company inventory/flow of goods:
  • Identify low stock levels and place orders appropriately
  • Enter and track PO's for finished goods
  • Allocate inventory for distribution from warehouse to stores and web
  • Rebalance stock between locations when necessary
  • Identify potential inventory liabilities and take appropriate actions to correct inventory- includes creating exit strategies for seasonal merchandise and vendor returns/exchanges for third party products
  • Create store minimum unit quantities and back stock requirements by location to assist with replenishment process
  • Develop and provide appropriate business analysis for future purchases and assortment strategies (in the form of daily sales flash report, weekly and monthly reports on best sellers, sales and inventory)
  • Meet with store staff to understand customer feedback on product quality and sales opportunities
  • Work with Visual on plan-o-grams & merchandising guides for stores
  • Collaborate with Marketing on events and promotions for stores
  • Any other tasks as required by management

 

This position will require some travel to store locations to review business and product and a weekly or bi-weekly trip to the warehouse in South San Francisco to for replenishment distribution to stores.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years experience consumer marketing with an emphasis on online marketing
  • Experience and desire to oversee all aspects of social marketing including updates to Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, our corporate blog and more.
  • Help manage flow of information out to grow awareness of brand and increase sales online and in store through key media, advertisement, guerilla marketing and other creative avenues
  • Help manage and grow current email marketing list and track success of email marketing campaigns
  • Experience with Google Ad-words including set up, implementation and analyzing click-thru, revenue, etc
  • Help manage contact and build relationships with outside blog, print and media outlets
  • Help plan and oversee key media events including in-store events, promotions alongside the Retail Marketing Manager.
  • Plan, track and revise online and in-store promos to analyze best practices and maximize sales
  • Analyze in-store and online sale trends to develop key strategies and promotions to grow brand awareness, increase online traffic and in-store foot traffic, and increase sales
  • Analyze web traffic trends to improve web click through and sales
  • Manage the marketing calendar from seasons and holiday driven promos to in store events, email campaigns
  • Work well with a team including designers, visual merchandisers and store staff to execute all marketing ideas on time, efficiently, and within the brand's vision.
