It means we build our stuff from the ground up to be special. We also keep our headquarters right in back of our San Francisco retail store, so we constantly learn what features you care about first hand.
We spend a crazy amount of time on every bit of hardware on our bags. We think of them as a major part of a bag’s personalty as well as how well it performs. You’ll never see plastic hardware, ever. What you will see is hardware that functions elegantly and is built to last.
When you spend time with a bag you quickly find out if the relationship is going to last. Where are the pockets located? How deep are they? Did they think about how this bag will be used in my life? When everything is right, you know it. Laptop sleeves that are just the right size. Pockets for small stuff that are easy to access. Nice, isn't it?
It may be a surprise to find that our bags feature an Italian leather base for extra durability. It costs more to make, but provides a durability that fabric cannot match. Or check out the liners of our Konverge bags, a thick marine-grade awning fabric that feels great but can handle 10 years of direct sunlight and rain. Sometimes a little better material is a welcome surprise.
We make all of our bags right here in the USA, at the best factories in the world and quality is only part of the story.
